Renowned for its stunning architecture and the world’s largest fair, Oktoberfest, Munich needs little introduction. Its vibrant cultural scene, great shopping and fantastic museums speak for themselves.
Munich has something for everyone: from historic palaces and castles, to stunning royal avenues to world class galleries and museums. Don't miss the new city hall, or Glockenspiel, in the heart of Marienplatz or the former residence of the Bavarian kings, the Residenz. Munich is also home to the world’s most famous beer hall, the Hofbräuhaus.
For great shopping, Karlsplatz is a pedestrian zone which takes up much of the city centre and the upscale area around Maximilianstrasse is yet another commercial wonderland. Munich is famous for its food too, so make sure you try the local Weißwurst, Leberkässemmeln and other popular pork dishes.

The city is well worth the visit.
Although it suffered during the WWII, there are still many historical building and churches preserved.
One can also take interesting one day trips from Munich.
I went to view the castel Neuschwanstein and took an excursion to the former concentration camp Dachau.
The art gallery has a precious collection of fine art from Middle Ages to present time.

Great city with great architecture, nice restaurants, and of course lots of activities.
I personally love visiting the Viktualienmarkt, then having a coffee and a Rohrnudel at Cafe Frischhut, which is conveniently located right next to it. You can spend a lot of time people watching, and to see real Múnchner is fun.
Loved climbing up the tower of St Peter’s
Church and we were lucky to have great weather so we could see the Alps.
A visit to Dalmayers, Manufactum and the famous Elli Seidl chocolaterie was a must. Best chocolate in town - for me at least
A walk along the river Isar is also nice - you can sit right at the river and take a breather from traffic and people, quite chilled there

Munich has enough interesting places, museums, and restaurants to keep you busy for a week. You could probably hit the highlights in 2 full days, depending on your interests. Beware the weather in April! It rained and snowed the entire week I was there. However, the week before and the week after were sunny and warm!

Clean city easy to get around on foot.
Clean city easy to get around on foot. Lots to see and explore. I took a walking tour then went out on my own for longer stops and looks. Appreciated the free public music street performances - added a good vibe to my visit.
The rooms were a very good size, super-clean. Great range of breakfast choices. Staff very helpful with our needs - the owner serves on the reception desk himself and is clearly very involved in the running of the hotel. Having stayed in Munich three times before, twice in the sightly over-restored city centre, I chose this alternative location for the green leafy feeling, and enjoyed the easy access to the Englisher Garten and the restaurants of Schwabing. City centre is still very easy accessible by public transport - or you can walk even.
We chose this hotel due to its strategic location, offering a perfect balance between being away from the bustling city center yet having the convenience of an S-Bahn station just 50 meters away. The 20-minute ride to the center of Munich was a breeze. While the hotel itself didn't provide breakfast options, we were delighted to find a top-notch bakery in the same building, operational from as early as 6 am. It turned out to be a smart choice, and we had a pleasant stay overall.
Stayed here four nights, visiting our son who lives in Munich. Outside the city centre, but footsteps to the S-Bahn. The hotel has its own parking and spaces are available to guests for a reasonable fee. Fully automated check-in and check-out provide for swift arrival and departure. Clean, cozy and soundproof rooms, very good quality of beds, - ideal conditions for a comfortable stay. Great affordable price, especially for an expensive city like Munich. Approved.
The hotel was lovely, staff efficient, bar/restaurant was really good and the food was lovely and reasonably priced.
I loved the music in the restaurant, we came in from our day out and the music made us come for a drink due to the atmosphere
Location was ok, so close to the underground which was a 15 min journey into the city centre you get on a aidenbachstraße and come off at Marienplatz and super cheap!
Also love the quirky lights in the lift
Beautiful recently renovated boutique hotel fairly close to the Munich city centre. The penthouse suite was fantastic with a lot of room to relax. The staff was very helpful and nice. The hotel offers a breakfast with various choices and there are also coffee shops nearby. The location is in the Middle Eastern area with plenty of local shops and restaurants around. The area was bustling and very safe.
we absolutely loved it. the room was beautiful, with such an attention to detail, very clean, close to the city centre.
the staff were very friendly and helpful.
i love the idea of the hotel being like an alpine lodge in the middle of munich.
the breakfast option for vegans was a bit limited but the food was so fresh.
if you have a very big car you might struggle to fit to the car park
Excellent understanding of what a city break tourist needs to spend few days in sufficient comfort. Clean, spacious room with en-suite bathroom. A perfect breakfast suiting everybody’s tastes. Round a clock access to good coffee or tea included. Soft drinks mini bar included. And a minute walk to the heart of the city centre. Once in Munich again, definitely would stay in this hotel.
We really loved the funky, gentrified area of this hotel! We were sceptical at first about staying so close to a train station but the area is super family family-friendly, quiet and has really easy access to the central train station and city centre of Munich. The hotel was close to the train station and had a really nice big window and window seat which we loved.
The hotel lies outside the city centre of Munich. However, you can quickly get to there by public transport in around 20 minutes (having to switch trains/buses once). It is great that you can rent bikes free of charge. You can take them to cycle through the English garden into the city centre within roughly 30 minutes.
Clean, comfortable spacious room in a calm district. Nice indian restaurant in the same building. Tasty breakfast. Enough free parking in front of the hotel. Nice pastry shop and a biergarten nearby. A good option if you want to visit Munich but stay in a place without the hectic atmosphere of the city centre.
The location is in the best part of Munich, I dream of living in Schwabing one day. You're literally a few steps from everything including excellent food, a great gym and the train. Best location possible. The price was also super cheap compared to all hotels in this location.
the hotel is very clean and modern with a minimalistic design. if you're coming to Munich for medical reasons, it's very conveniently located close to various medical centres; however, it's pretty pricey for a 3-star hotel far away from the city centre
An old-fashioned hotel in the positive sense of the word: friendly reception, small but quiet and clean rooms, comfy beds, good breakfast buffet and decent coffee, easy public transport to city centre, parking available. Good value for money in Munich.
Comfortable, clean, and also quiet at night. The hotel is located within a couple minutes walking distance from Munich Hauptbahnhof, which makes it a great choice for travellers coming by train. The city center is a few minutes away by U-Bahn.
Location is a couple of minutes walk from the S bahn and just past that is the Munich city centre, very easy walking.
The hotel itself is on a fairly quiet street set a bit away from the main road. The breakfast was good too.
Good breakfast, front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Very good location for Munich city centre. Value hotel for location. Very short walk to tourist destinations and public transport.
exceptional boutique hotel chain. I loved my staying in Munich but also have been in the 25 hours of hambourg and Vienna an Frankfurt and i loved all of them ! greqt job 25 hiurs :)
Perfect hotel for business travel or a quick trip to Munich. Location is south if you want to spend time in city centre, but it was clean, affordable and very efficient
