FAQ about luxury hotels in Brussels

Chocolate Capital of Europe

Brussels is well-known as the headquarters of many European institutions and is often called the capital of Europe. However, Belgian waffles, beer and chocolate are just a few of the city’s best-known delicacies that can rival its political reputation.

French and Dutch are the city’s two official languages, so all streets and landmarks have two different names: don’t be surprised when you look for Grand Place and end up at Grote Markt!

Don’t miss the famous bronze, aptly named Manneken Pis statue or the futuristic Atomium, a truly unique architectural creation. Wandering through side streets to discover small bookshops, romantic cafés and ethnic restaurants reveals Brussels's charm.

Brussels is a real melting pot of Europe, filled with great museums and art from Memling, Bosch or Rubens, historic breweries and great concert halls. Shopping addicts can visit the world’s first shopping mall, the Saint Hubert Gallery, opened here in 1847.

If you’re arriving at Brussels Airport or South Charleroi Airport, all major attractions are just a short train or bus ride away. Whether you’re looking for a design hotel, a comfortable apartment or a friendly B&B, Booking.com has something perfect for your trip to Brussels.

My stay was 3 days. It is OK for a weeked breakoff but not enough to visit all attractions. My suggested stay would be one week of course in my situation knowing how and why to get to the spots that worth visiting. All of them worth. Thank you Brussel for my stay.

Such a varied city. Architecture, attractions, shopping, food, entertainment. So much to do and I never feel like I have enough time, unfortunately I also never have enough money. Brussels is expensive for the traveller/tourist unless you know your way around and know where to go for what you want.

This is a lovely place, perfectly comfortable and completely unpretentious. Nothing fancy but the ethos of the Institute is not about that anyway. Simple rooms over a garden of trees out the window. It's quiet and restful, and if you are happy to walk it isn't far from Brussels Centraal and so the museums, Grand Place, etc. (If not, there is a bus stop around the corner and Madou metro station up the street). It was a third cheaper than the best of the cheaper hotels I could find for the same dates. I would stay there again.

The hotel is on a family owned nice 4-story building. The rooms are nicely decorated. The owner Sebastian was super nice. He prepared cold water in fridge for all and served breakfast. He would even take order for breakfast, like eggs, freshly made orange or apple juices. The train we were on to Brussels was late. I even got a WhatsApp phone call from him to check on us. The hotel location is perfect. Walking distance to the grand place and metro. Numerous restaurants nearly. The stay couldn’t be any better.

The hotel was in the center of Brussels and this made our travel in Brussels very easy, with restaurants and shops very close to the hotel. Only 5 minutes away was the Brussels Central train station and very close to the hotel you could find a taxi. We had a triple room, with enough space and comfortable beds. The hotel also had luggage storage which helped us a lot to leave our luggage before we checked in. We would come back to Ibis Hotel if we come again to Brussels.

We loved this small hotel in a peaceful and beautiful place, very good connection to Brussels city center, and also to get to Brussel north or Midi railway stations. The breakfast was good, we loved the flexibility of the staff and atmosphere, the building has elements of art nouveau, the staircase, the pictures on the wall, the fireplace in the room, we loved it! We had a really luxurious double room pretty cheap, seemed more like a hotel than a hostel. Clean bathroom, TV and many plug-ins in the room, friendly helpful staff. Nice sitting area in the groundfloor and the hostels offers city tours and other events although we didn’t have time to participate. Close to the city center with many restaurants but still quiet and green!

Tucked away on a quiet square, the elegance of this hotel grew on me throughout my stay in Brussels, which is an oddly honky tonk city center despite majestic building facades.
