I have already shared opinions on London, so let me be brief this time. 1. Go experience it! It is a very clean, cosmopolitan city that is in many ways the birthplace and historical home of Western Civilization. 2. Walking is great, Underground is great, tourist busses are great, do not rent a car and drive. Traffic is a mess. 3. Find hotels near your points of interest. If you want theater, stay at Piccadilly. If you want history, stay as close to downtown as you can afford. If you want Football, pitches are everywhere. 4. It is expensive, but plan ahead of time to limit expenses. Once there focus on the experience, not the cost. 5. Get out into the countryside for a day if you can. 6. Have lots of smiles, and enjoy the day, pace of life is slower than places in US. 7. Go to pubs, eat fish and chips, and eat a real 'English Breakfast'. 8. Hit the museums. 9. Bring rain gear.

If you are an American, you need to go and spend at least a week there. there is everything you want to see and do in the city, or within a couple hour's drive of the city. It will take some adjustments to enjoy it: Do not drive, use the Underground or other mode of transport. Traffic is as bad or worse than NYC, Boston, or LA. Take your time, you will likely have long walks to places, and the pace for visitors, especially eating, is much different than in the US. There are major US chains in London, but eat local food in small shops and eateries. Finally, know ahead of time it is more expensive to stay and eat in London than the US. Accept it for what it is and immerse yourself in the city and its people.

London is a fast moving, bustling city with theatres round every corner and an abundance of places to eat to suit most budgets. We like to stay central and we have parks nearby. We love the place and always aim to be here close to my birthday. We were lucky to have a beautifully written birthday card, fresh fruit and a bottle of Prosecco in an ice bucket plus a room upgrade.

I don’t appreciate the service charge which is automatically added to bills. If you are served well ok but having to go to the bar for the drinks as we had to do at the hotel+then carry our drinks outside, spilling some of them trying to open the doors, I don’t call that a service and consequently don’t see why we should have to pay a service charge.

Apartments are very nice (newly renovated, I assume), well taken care of and quite spacious by London's standards. The kitchenette has all basic things to prepare simple meals (even salt and pepper were available) and the hotel provides you with a laundry room to use free of cost. Very nice area around the hotel with typical Victorian architecture and lots of small parks (although private ones). 5 min walk to Earl's Court underground, many eateries around it and 5 min to a very big supermarket: Sainsbury's. Totally recommended!

My 4th time staying at St Athans and the experience has been overwhelmingly positive each time. Staff are friendly, Zeeshan in particular was very warm and helpful with the check in experience. Location is perfect and the hotel is always clean and up to a good standard. In terms of value for money it is everything I need. I travel for work and even though my company have now moved office across London, I will continue to stay at St Athans because of the great service and fantastic value for money.

I’ve been staying in cheap hotels part of the week for work since moving out of London about a year ago and have stayed in some ok places and some real dives (Not looking at you Forest Gate Hotel…) The Amhurst is easily the best of the lot so far. It was super clean, the owner was really friendly and it was generally cozy. Top marks. Bonus tip: ten minute walk away is a chip van that does the best fish and chips in London! Is a hotel with few apartments. Clean and nice. The manager explain as everything we must know about the area and how to spend the time in our favor. We decide to park the car at hotel and walk to train station 5 min. There with the train is another 20 min to big Ben center of London. Is much comfortable then driving and search parking in middle of town. Next to Lyall, is a very nice restaurant with various food, not very expensive.

Lone traveler, stayed one night. Very roomy for a London budget hotel. Stayed at the top floor where the roof was slanted which might cause issues for taller people but the actual room was very spacious compared to most cheaper London hotels. Room and bed were clean. Location is excellent, especially if you are interested in visiting Westfield shopping center more frequently, and there are two tube stations really close by.
