Acid Bath is an American metal band from Houma, Louisiana that formed in 1991. They released their breakout debut When the Kite String Pops in 1994, which was then followed by their sophomore and final album, Paegan Terrorism Tactics, in 1996. The band later broke up in 1997 after the passing of bassist Audie Pitre in a traffic collision. On October 16th 2024, it was announced the band would return playing Sick New World 2025 nearly 27 years after breaking up. However, the festival was ultimately cancelled in November 2024. Acid Bath's first show since 1997 took place at The Filmore, New Orleans in April 2025.
