Strand Palace Hotel, hotel in London

Welcoming guests since 1909, the Strand Palace Hotel is located in London’s West End within just 2297 feet of the Adelphi and the Vaudeville theaters.

I enjoyed every moment of my stay at the Palace. The location was convenient to everything walking or public transportation. The size was comfortable not overwhelming. The food was very good. The Gin Palace was the perfect spot for the gin and tonic. The staff made me feel extra special and wanted to make sure I got what I wanted. My room was a small bedroom with a most comfortable bed. The bathroom was lovely with nice products for my hair and shower.

London Walks (the Company) are the best! We did three this trip including Westminster Abbey. Also Camden (very crowded) and Hampstead. Bit disappointed that Highgate Cemetery now charges £10 admission with no concessions. Also visited Kensington Palace and Gardens. Good value and very interesting.

I loved the Royal attractions being a bit of a Monachist.and they were the highlight of my sightseeing tour. Westminster Abbey is stunning as is also Windsor Castle and Chapel. Very much worth seeing. The Royal parks were beautiful in Spring ., Kensington Palace in Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace near St James's Park. So much to see and do in this vibrant multicultural city. Stunning architecture everywhere from ancient Roman walls to the very modern. So easy and fun to get to everything you want to see on the Tube. I love London .

Of course, London is a beautiful city with many places to visit; however, there are queues at museum entrances, making it impossible to plan a trip; Perhaps one day you will need to visit one museum. The parks are very beautiful, and I definitely recommend visiting them. I can recommend fish and chips at Hobson's. In addition, city public restrooms are not always open.

Some locations were less crowded than expected (Tower of London), others were so crowded that we rushed through & left without enjoying the experience (British Museum & Changing of the Guards at Buckingham). Transit system is excellent & affordable. Lovely parks along the Thames. St James Park is not to be missed!! And we capped our visit with a West End Theatre experience ... MJ the Musical was amazing & the most fun we've ever had at any Broadway show!!

The Apartment is horrible, not worth für Price, utmost dirty dirty...No cupboard/ no hanger. Host has neither heart nor empathie. We were waiting for 1hour with children at 1.00am to get a code number to open the room, we were repeatedly asking to send the code per sms. Bad Internet connection per Telefon also. Still sie forced us to fill a long online form in the midnight, Aktually, sie had to send this Form before Departure. It has ruined the whole mood. But I am happy now, that I am too far from this apartment, and not possible to get Scabies. Otherwise London is as always class. I suggest everybody to avoid the visit there and Booking.com to take it out from their catalogue. Otherwise Booking, com will loose their name and regret for it!!!!

These aparthotels are located about 10 minutes walk from Aldgate East tube station which is well connected to get all over London. They are secure and accessed by key card swipe at all points of access. The room was a good size with a king size very comfortable bed. Bathroom was well equip with an excellent shower. There is a microwave, fridge and kettle in the room making breakfast easier as it is not provided at these apartments. The hotel is on a pleasant square with a garden in front and is only a short walk from Earl’s Court station. We had a room in the basement with a window looking up to the street which was an interesting change. The room was a reasonable size with a private bathroom. It was comfortable and the staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. London is always going to be expensive so the hotel isn’t cheap but it is reasonably priced for the city and a good alternative to the more expensive hotels nearer the centre.

The reception staff is always so welcoming and quick to solve any issues. Breakfast is simply outstanding, no matter if you're a croissant and coffee type or full english one. Room is small but OK for one person and I like that it has all the facilities you might need. All in all, a great stay and I'll book this place every time I'm in London.

The hotel was clean and the room was spacious. We picked this hotel as it was considerably cheaper than similar hotels in Central London. We felt like we made a good choice, you reach central London in no-time with the Thameslink and the station is literally just around the corner. The staff was very friendly as well. Greenwich itself was also cozy and there were some nice restaurants around. There was also a good supermarkt nearby. If we would go to London again, we would stay here again :)

Lovely, friendly guy greeted us on arrival, happily gave us advice on getting around London. Our twin room was spacious for London. Very clean throughout and comfortable beds. The tea and coffee facilities and fridge were a bonus too. We were very happy with everything for the price we paid - it was cheaper than most hotels we've stayed in and much nicer. The location was great too - just around the corner from Baker Street station with plenty of eating establishments a short walk away.

Hotel has a lovely feel to it from the moment you walk through the door. Very traditional English decor giving it a historical, luxurious vibe. Room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. Bed & pillows were the comfiest I have ever slept in. Staff helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good value for money and a lot cheaper than most top end London hotels.
