FAQs about hotels in Brussels

Chocolate Capital of Europe

Brussels is well-known as the headquarters of many European institutions and is often called the capital of Europe. However, Belgian waffles, beer and chocolate are just a few of the city’s best-known delicacies that can rival its political reputation.

French and Dutch are the city’s two official languages, so all streets and landmarks have two different names: don’t be surprised when you look for Grand Place and end up at Grote Markt!

Don’t miss the famous bronze, aptly named Manneken Pis statue or the futuristic Atomium, a truly unique architectural creation. Wandering through side streets to discover small bookshops, romantic cafés and ethnic restaurants reveals Brussels's charm.

Brussels is a real melting pot of Europe, filled with great museums and art from Memling, Bosch or Rubens, historic breweries and great concert halls. Shopping addicts can visit the world’s first shopping mall, the Saint Hubert Gallery, opened here in 1847.

If you’re arriving at Brussels Airport or South Charleroi Airport, all major attractions are just a short train or bus ride away. Whether you’re looking for a design hotel, a comfortable apartment or a friendly B&B, Booking.com has something perfect for your trip to Brussels.

Brussels is a charming and beautiful city with kind people. This hotel is most likely the best one there as the location is the best from my observations. Apparently, it was once used as an old prison? Could be wrong but that is what our tour guide told us! Lovely staff, very discerning guests and understated aesthetics throughout the hotel. The man at concierge with the glasses was outstanding for his recommendations and assistance.

An interesting city, there's a lot to see here, and you probably won't be able to see everything worthwhile in just one weekend. There are many good restaurants, cafes, museums, and various other attractions. It's definitely worth visiting at least once. On the downside, in some places it really smells strongly of urine (which is surprising), and it seems that people here like to smoke marijuana, as there's a strong smell of it in certain areas.

The hotel is well connected so you can walk to the Grand Place and around in less than 15 minutes. You have the metro station near the hotel that will connect you to many places too. The room is double standard, but we consider a little small (but we expected that in the center of Brussels) and is good for a couple. We didn't try the breakfast but is open from 7 am until 10 am so you can take advantage of it if you have an early departure. If you are a smoker, you cannot do so due to the hotel's non-smoking policy.

The room was very spacious and very clean. the bed was very comfortable. The shower was excellent with a great water pressure. One of the best I have seen in a hotel! I would recommend this hotel, conveniently located close to the De Brouckere metro station and the Grand Place. Touristy location, less of a business location but everything is easy to access in Brussels, so not a problem. Despite being located in a noisy area of Brussels, the room was very silent (no problem sleeping at night or focusing on work)

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. Staff were friendly, bed was comfy. Room was comfortable and very quiet. Modern bathroom with shower. Bus stop for city center (no. 66) was very close. Reasonable selection of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Fee airport shuttle was very convenient. Carrefour and Lidl are nearby in case of snacks. There are a couple of restaurants and a few takeaways around as well. Overall we really enjoyed our time in Brussels and our stay in this hotel.

The center of Brussels has bags to offer, but places to stay there are generally really expensive. Hotel City Center must be one of the best deals in that area. It is only twenty minutes away from Brussels Central Station on foot, and a mere ten by bike. The rooms are narrow, and, in my case – my window looked out over the busy Rue du Progrès in front of the hotel – , quite noisy, but well enough furnished. The staff were very friendly and helpful when I was there.

We traveled from Amsterdam to Brussels via train; their location is accessible and within the city center, where shops and restaurants are located. The ambiance of the hotel is classic and medieval. They have a kitchen and lounge for long-staying guests. They have provided food storage. They have quiet and clean rooms with private bathrooms. The staff is helpful and friendly. Their services are good for a hostel. We had an excellent stay.

It was a nice stay at this hotel. Loved the lobby lounge with a pool table, the vibes and the breakfast was rich and tasty. Rooms were so clean and relatively quiet for christmas holidays. Location was very good, around 20 mins walk to the Grand Place (Brussels main city center Location) or less with public transport. There is also a great hookah lounge facing the hotel 😁😆. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Bathroom was very nice. Coffee, tea in the room, filtered water stations in the hallway so no plastic bottles. Good wifi, nice staff. The hotel is about a 7 min walk from Brussels Nord train station and a 10-12 walk from the Grand Place. It is a newer hotel so it doesn't have the character of an old building but it was a very nice room at a good price.
