Singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Andrew Savage was a founding member of Denton, Texas D.I.Y. punk band Teenage Cool Kids at their formation in 2006. With Teenage Cool Kids, Savage cut his teeth in the world of independently booking tours, releasing music, and distributing records. In 2008, while recording the second Teenage Cool Kids album, Savage began collaborating with friend Jason Kelly on the more wide-ranging and experimental project Fergus & Geronimo. Fergus & Geronimo would release multiple albums and singles over the next few years, though a move from Texas to Brooklyn in 2010 found Savage beginning new band Parquet Courts and slowly phasing out Teenage Cool Kids, who officially disbanded the next year. Critics and fans alike took to Parquet Courts and the band quickly became the most popular of Savage's myriad projects. A constant cycle of touring, recording, and frequent album releases continued for the band for the majority of the next decade, with Parquet Courts playing internationally and releasing new music each year. Under the moniker A. Savage, the songwriter released his first solo album, Thawing Dawn, on his own Dull Tools imprint in 2017. Biography by Fred Thomas
