Laurence Fox biography

Laurence Fox is best known as an actor, most notably for his role as DI James Hathaway in ITV's much-loved series Lewis. He was born in Yorkshire in May 1978 to actor James Fox and his wife Mary Piper. He is the third of 5 children, with 2 older brothers, a younger brother, actor Jack Fox, and younger sister, actress Lydia Fox. He is the cousin of actors Emilia and Freddie Fox, and the nephew of Edward Fox. He has been acting for many years, including roles in films, on TV and on stage; most recently he starred as Charles de Gaulle in the critically acclaimed The Patriotic Traitor at Park Theatre. In recent years he has turned his hand to long-cherished ambition - music. Laurence released his first EP in 2013, and followed it up which his debut album, Holding Patterns, in 2016. The album was released to high praise and he went on to tour the UK with it and a play a number of festivals. Laurence Fox is signed to Caroline International and releases music under the Fox Cub Records Label.
