Fairground Attraction biography

Fairground Attraction were a Scottish acoustic pop group from Glasgow, best-known for the hit single "Perfect", and for helping to launch the career of its lead singer, Eddi Reader. In December 2023, Reader announced on her Facebook page that Fairground Attraction would reform for a Japanese tour in 2024.[3] The band subsequently announced new music[4] and a UK tour on the band's Facebook page.[5] They debuted a new single, "What's Wrong With The World?" on March 24th 2024, and followed suit on June 12th with the title track of their second studio album Beautiful Happening. The album was released in September of 2024, over 36 years after The First of a Million Kisses.

    Manchester has become one of the largest cities in Britain over the past hundred years. Although Manchester is a city with a very rich history, the main focus of its development has always been industry. The center is almost entirely furnished with warehouses and factory buildings, entangled with a network of canals and old railway bridges. It is quite natural that no one gave such kindness to the reduction of production: in the former shops now open fashionable bars, in factory warehouses - designer shops, and under the old bridges "settled" nightclubs. It was for the active nightlife of the city and got its middle name - Madchester.
