WARHAUS biography

Warhaus is the solo moniker and alter ego of Belgian (Ghent-based) musician, songwriter and singer Maarten Devoldere (born 1988), who is best known as one of the frontmen of Balthazar. Off the back of Balthazar's Thin Walls (2015), the band members decided to take time off and do some exploring on their own. Warhaus is what Devoldere came up with, from 2016 onwards. Warhaus is moody and atmospheric like the work of Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits and has the brooding romanticism of Serge Gainsbourg. Devoldere released three Warhaus albums to date: We Fucked a Flame into Being (2016), Warhaus (2017) and Ha Ha Heartbreak (2022).

  • What's interesting in London?

For those who have never been to London, the capital of Britain is associated with fog, Big Ben, and of course guards in bear caps. Yes, it is in London, as well as Kensington’s Victorian charm, the ever-singing Picadilly and Carnaby, Sherlock Holmes’s apartment and the oldest subway in the world.
