Svalbard is a post-hardcore/black metal band from Bristol, England, formed in 2011. The band consists of vocalist/guitarist Serena Cherry, guitarist Liam Phelan, bassist Adam Parrish, and drummer Mark Lilley. They have released three studio albums, with their latest, When I Die, Will I Get Better?, receiving critical acclaim for its melodic yet aggressive sound. Svalbard's music is known for its powerful and thought-provoking lyrics, covering topics such as politics, mental health, and social issues. Enslaved is a progressive black metal band from Norway, formed in 1991. The band currently consists of vocalist/bassist Grutle Kjellson, guitarists Ivar Bjørnson and Arve "Ice Dale" Isdal, and drummer Cato Bekkevold. With a career spanning over three decades, Enslaved has released 15 studio albums, with their latest, Utgard, receiving widespread praise for its experimental and diverse sound. The band's music is characterized by complex song structures, melodic guitar riffs, and a blend of clean and harsh vocals. They are considered one of the pioneers of the black metal genre.
