Ichiko Aoba biography

青葉市子 (Ichiko Aoba) is a Japanese folk singer/songwriter born in Urayasu, Chiba, Japan and raised in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. Taking inspiration from Disney and Studio Ghibli music, most of her music is primarily performed using a classical guitar. She also takes a lot of inspiration from her dreams in order to create a story. Aoba began composing at the age of 17, and was mentored by Japanese singer/songwriter Anmi Yamada. She then released her debut album at age 19. In addition to the classical guitar, she also plays the piano, clarinet, accordion and flute.     Manchester has become one of the largest cities in Britain over the past hundred years. Although Manchester is a city with a very rich history, the main focus of its development has always been industry. The center is almost entirely furnished with warehouses and factory buildings, entangled with a network of canals and old railway bridges. It is quite natural that no one gave such kindness to the reduction of production: in the former shops now open fashionable bars, in factory warehouses - designer shops, and under the old bridges "settled" nightclubs. It was for the active nightlife of the city and got its middle name - Madchester.
