At least four bands named 'Fauna' exist: 4. A shoegaze band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Formed in 1985, they would become one of the first American bands to play shoegaze music with the release of Everafter in 1992. Their music is defined through being dense with noise (including incorporating flute on their first album) and tongue-in-cheek sensibilities.
