Aly & AJ (once known as 78violet) are an American pop duo consisting of sisters Alyson Renae "Aly" Michalka and Amanda Joy "AJ" Michalka. They were born in Torrance, California. They are both actresses, singer-songwriters, guitarists and pianists. On December 9, 2015, they announced that they are again Aly & AJ. The EP Ten Years - EP was released on November 17, 2017. Their follow-up Sanctuary - EP was released on May 10, 2019.
