Lacuna Coil biography

Lacuna Coil is an Italian metal band from Milan. Since their formation in 1994, the group has had two name changes, being previously known as Sleep of Right and Ethereal. Inspired by the combination of gothic imagery and music, the members have been known, musically, for composing mid-tempo songs consisting of prominent guitar lines and contrasting dual female/male vocal harmonies to help create a melodic, detached sound. Much of the band's recent material, however, sees a heavier and more down-tuned style, featuring a more distinct bass line and a higher mixing of the guitars within the songs. The band's 2012 release, "Dark Adrenaline", peaked at number 15 on the Billboard 200. Since inception, Lacuna Coil has sold over 2 million records. They have toured internationally and were nominated for a MTV Music Award. "Oxygen" the fourth single followed on October 2nd 2024 along with a short European run of shows. During this run of shows it was confirmed that Daniele Salomone from Inverno and D With Us was playing guitar for these shows. It is yet to be confirmed by the band if he is to become a full member of the band.

  • What's interesting in Manchester?

Manchester has become one of the largest cities in Britain over the past hundred years. Although Manchester is a city with a very rich history, the main focus of its development has always been industry. The center is almost entirely furnished with warehouses and factory buildings, entangled with a network of canals and old railway bridges. It is quite natural that no one gave such kindness to the reduction of production: in the former shops now open fashionable bars, in factory warehouses - designer shops, and under the old bridges "settled" nightclubs. It was for the active nightlife of the city and got its middle name - Madchester.
