Yonaka biography

Yonaka (stylised as YONAKA) is a British rock band formed in Brighton, UK in 2014. English quartet Yonaka combine heavy riffs, melodic hooks, and on-stage punk furor like the wild spawn of Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Royal Blood. The band consists of vocalist Theresa Jarvis, guitarist George Edwards, bassist Alex Crosby and drummer Robert Mason as they met in college playing for different bands. They got together in 2014 and quickly gained a reputation for their formidable live shows. In 2016, they issued their debut single, "Ignorance", followed by "Drongo". The next year they released "Wouldn't Wanna Be Ya" before the arrival of their first EP "Heavy" which featured the single "Bubblegum". In autumn 2018, the band went on a European tour with Bring Me The Horizon and The Fever 333. In 2019, Yonaka returned signing with American label Fueled By Ramen with their debut full-length "Don't Wait 'Til Tomorrow" which included the hit singles "Bad Company" and "Creature". In December 2019, Yonaka was featured in "±ªþ³§", a track by Bring Me The Horizon. In 2021, Yonaka did a UK tour with Nothing But Thieves.

  • What's interesting in Manchester?

Manchester has become one of the largest cities in Britain over the past hundred years. Although Manchester is a city with a very rich history, the main focus of its development has always been industry. The center is almost entirely furnished with warehouses and factory buildings, entangled with a network of canals and old railway bridges. It is quite natural that no one gave such kindness to the reduction of production: in the former shops now open fashionable bars, in factory warehouses - designer shops, and under the old bridges "settled" nightclubs. It was for the active nightlife of the city and got its middle name - Madchester.
