The Wanted biography

The Wanted is a British boy-band consisting of Jay McGuinness (born 24 July 1990) from Nottingham, Max George (born 6 September 1988) from Manchester, Nathan Sykes (born 18 April 1993) from Gloucester, Siva Kaneswaren (born 16 November 1988) from Dublin and Tom Parker (4 August 1988-30 March 2022) from Bolton. The group formed through a series of nationwide auditions in 2009 and signed to Geffen Records later the same year. The Wanted was active from 2009 through 2014, before reuniting in 2021. There are other bands called the Wanted: 1) a Russian psycho-rockabilly trio from Smolensk, Russia. The Wanted have a stompin’ rockin’ style which sits neatly between Psychobilly and Neo-Rockabilly. 2) an American garage rock from Detroit, MI, United States, active from the mid-60s to mid-70s. Tim Shea (lead guitar), Arnie DeClark (guitar), Dave Farnstrom (organ), Bill Montgomery (bass), Chip Stalmer (drums). Made at least 5 singles between 1966-1977. 3) French punk band 4) Dancehall band

    Manchester has become one of the largest cities in Britain over the past hundred years. Although Manchester is a city with a very rich history, the main focus of its development has always been industry. The center is almost entirely furnished with warehouses and factory buildings, entangled with a network of canals and old railway bridges. It is quite natural that no one gave such kindness to the reduction of production: in the former shops now open fashionable bars, in factory warehouses - designer shops, and under the old bridges "settled" nightclubs. It was for the active nightlife of the city and got its middle name - Madchester.
