Marisa Monte biography

Marisa de Azevedo Monte, best known as Marisa Monte, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music producer; one of the most important and influential artists of the MPB genre. She's also part of the iconic trio Tribalistas alongside Carlinhos Brown and Arnaldo Antunes. In October 2021, Marisa was awarded at the 44th edition of the Tenco Award, for her work as a singer and songwriter, becoming the first Brazilian female artist to receive such an honor.
