They have played at Glastonbury, have a national tour coming up and are now the stars of a new TV show – but unless there’s a pre-schooler in your household, you’re unlikely to have heard of Andy and the Oddsocks. Fronted by the CBeebies presenter Andy Day, the child-friendly band was formed to celebrate diversity and individuality and promote confidence in young children. And so far, it seems to be working. The five-piece, made up of Day on vocals, bassist Blu (Marcus Ramtohul), drummer Moxy (Holly Mallett), guitarist Rio (Marcelo Cervone) and keyboard player Cousin Mac (Stewart McCheyne), are signed to Magic Star records.
