Beata Kozidrak is probably the most popular Polish female vocalist in 80s/90s. As the lead vocalist of pop-rock group Bajm, she released 10 albums, which all went gold and platinum and sold about 3,5 million copies. In 1998 she started solo career with album simply called "Beata". She received the great reviews from critics and then 2 Fryderyk Awards (Polish Grammies) as the best female vocalist of the year and for the best pop album of the year. "Beata" sold in over 250.000 copies, following the success of her two next albums with Bajm - "Szklanka wody" (Glass of water, 2000) and "Myśli i słowa" (Thoughts and words, 2003), both reached platinum status (220.000/165.000 copies). Her latest release is the second solo album "Teraz Płynę" (Now I'm flowing) which also went platinum (90.000 copies). Beata has also won the several international festivals and contests, including Karlsham Baltic Song Festival (Sweden), Mesam Festival (former Jugoslavia) and Lahti Festival (Finland). With her powerful voice, unique style and absolutely perfect contact with the audience Beata is still, over the 25 years of career, the most successful and admired Polish female vocalist.
