Lea-Marie Becker, professionally known as LEA, was born on July 9, 1992, in Kassel, Germany. She is a German singer-songwriter and keyboardist. LEA began her musical journey at a young age, growing up in a household filled with music, as her parent worked as a music therapist. She started taking piano lessons at the age of six and wrote her first songs at the age of eleven. In her teenage years, she gained early recognition by uploading music videos to YouTube under the name Lea-Marie. One of her songs, Wo ist die Liebe hin, garnered significant attention with over 2.7 million views. After living in Hannover for several years, she moved to Berlin in 2018, where she continues to reside. In September 2019, LEA collaborated with rappers Capital Bra and Samra on the track 110, which topped the German charts, further expanding her influence. LEA's music continues to address issues of gender equality, and she uses her platform to advocate for greater visibility and representation of women in the German music industry.
