Maan is a Dutch singer and actress. In 2016, she rose to national fame after winning the sixth season of the Voice of Holland. She then released her first single “Perfect World”, produced by Hardwell, which became a minor hit in the official Dutch Top 40. The follow-up “Ride It”, produced by Jack $hirak, performed similarly. The subsequent singles failed to make an impact on the charts. Maan, however, continued to remain a prominent figure on Dutch television, appearing on the popular tv-shows Beste Zangers and Dance Dance Dance. On the former tv-show, she covered “Jij Bent de Liefde” by rapper Kenny B, which reached Number 1 on the Dutch iTunes Top 100. In 2022, Maan announced she was dating Goldband member Karel Gerlach at Lowlands Festival. Maan and Goldband then worked together on the synth-pop duet “Stiekem”. It became the biggest hit of Maan her career so far, topping the Dutch Spotify charts and becoming the best-scoring Dutch song of all time.
