Mabel Alabama Pearl McVey (born on 19 February 1996 in Málaga, Spain) is a British singer and songwriter. She is the daughter of Swedish hit singer Neneh Cherry and British hit producer Cameron McVey. At age fifteen, Mabel enrolled at the Stockholm music school Rytmus Musikergymnasiet, a music high school, where she took a three-year course in songwriting, production and music theory. With more than a billion UK streams, Mabel has received the Brits Billion Awards. She is one of the most successful British female artists to have emerged in the 2010s, having scored 11 Top 40-hits. Her album High Expectations is one of the longest-charting female albums of all time.
