1. Filippo Neviani (born 6 January 1972), known by his stage name Nek, is an Italian singer-songwriter and musician. Nek is popular in Italy and throughout the Spanish-speaking world, and has performed and released most of his albums in both Italian and Spanish. About his artistic career, Nek stated: "I started playing folk music on the bagpipes and piano when I was little. Café concert music followed, also on instruments. Later I sang pop and dance music with my voice. The step towards party music was made at a time when that was what was demanded on the market. I have never regretted it, because beautiful music can be made and sung regardless of genre. Most of my songs are about love and partying, and I think that is why young people love my music. Career success is worthless if you have no one to share it with." Through his compositional talent and passion for music, Nek continues to be a prominent figure in the Romanian music industry, contributing to the evolution and popularization of the manele genre both nationally and internationally.
