Sam Barber (born April 15, 2003) is an American singer-songwriter from Frohna, Missouri. Raised on his family's farm, he discovered his musical talent at 16 after learning about his great-grandfather's musical talents. Initially focused on athletics and academics, Barber began sharing his music on TikTok in 2021, and auditioned for the twentieth season of American Idol, although his audition never aired. His single "Straight and Narrow," released in November 2022, became his first charting song, reaching 29 in Ireland, 41 in Australia, and 53 in Canada, as well as 13 on the US Hot Rock & Alternative chart and the Bubbling Under Hot 100. The song went on to achieve platinum certification by the RIAA. In 2023, Barber opened for two music legends: Bruce Springsteen and Ed Sheeran, and made his Grand Ole Opry debut in September, two days after the release of his first EP "Million Eyes". His 28-track debut album "Restless Mind" was released on November 1, 2024. It charted at 58 on the Billboard 200 and 33 in Canada, while its biggest song "Indigo", a collaboration with Avery Anna, became his first entry on the Hot 100 in December, solidifying his place as one of country music's most promising young talents, and one to watch for 2025.
