The East Pointers is a Canadian contemporary folk music group from Prince Edward Island formed in 2014. The group consists of guitarist Jake Charron, banjoist Koady Chaisson and fiddler Tim Chaisson. They perform celtic-influenced original songs and instrumentals with contemporary influences. They released their debut album, "Secret Victory", in late 2015 and won the 2017 Juno Award for Traditional Roots Album of the Year for the album. Their follow-up to award-winning debut album is "What We Leave Behind". The album reflects on the traditions of Canadian Celtic music, where it comes from, and what it means to the people, but also strides in new directions.
