Tierra Umi Wilson (born February 9, 1999), known professionally as UMI, is an American singer-songwriter known for her "bedroom R&B" sound, which blends elements of R&B, neo-soul, and alternative pop. Born in Seattle to an African-American father and a Japanese mother, she dropped out of USC in 2019 to pursue music. "I hope that the relatability of my lyrics can be comforting to people who realize their worries and problems are universal. I want them to know that they’re not alone."
