Bodega biography

The art-damaged Brooklyn band Bodega want to get people thinking while they boogie, and their 2018 debut album, Endless Scroll, spotlighted an abrasive dance-punk sound built on shouted vocals, deep thoughts, and jumpy rhythms. While they sanded off some of the rough sonic edges on subsequent releases like 2019's Shiny New Model EP and 2022's Broken Equipment, they kept the lyrics sharp and the music bouncy. In 2024, they made a jump to a major label with Our Brand Could Be Yr Life and responded with their tightest, most melodic set yet. 4. Bodega: Band members include: Brent Grunow (vocals), Chuk Light (rythm guitar), Joe Jermano (lead guitar), Denny Richards (bass), and Jack Jensen (drums). Music from this incarnation of Bodega can be heard on their "Seven Hands" album.

    Manchester has become one of the largest cities in Britain over the past hundred years. Although Manchester is a city with a very rich history, the main focus of its development has always been industry. The center is almost entirely furnished with warehouses and factory buildings, entangled with a network of canals and old railway bridges. It is quite natural that no one gave such kindness to the reduction of production: in the former shops now open fashionable bars, in factory warehouses - designer shops, and under the old bridges "settled" nightclubs. It was for the active nightlife of the city and got its middle name - Madchester.
