VÆB biography

The duo consists of two brothers - Hálfdán Helgi Matthíasson (born 4 June 2003) and Matthías Davíð Matthíasson (born 7 December 2004). They made their debut in the recording industry with the studio album Væb tékk, released in September 2022 and preceded by the singles Aron Can (Borðar kál) and Þetta kallar á drykk. They have also collaborated with Ingi Bauer, which helped them reach their first commercial numbers. In 2025 they participated in Söngvakeppnin once again with the song RÓA, winning the selection and earning the right to represent Iceland at this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Basel. They performed in the first semi-final, ended up qualifying for the grand final and finished with 33 points total.
