Suffocation biography

Suffocation is an American brutal technical death metal band originating from Centereach, New York. The band formed in 1988 and approached this genre in their own style, revolving around heavy, uniquely rhythmic riffs and even deeper growling vocals and breakdowns to create a sub-genre of the form often termed "brutal" death metal - also known by many as "New York Death Metal," or "NYDM" for short. Other New York death metal bands that soon after followed in the footsteps of Suffocation's style include Immolation, Incantation, Deathrune, Morpheus Descends, Infester and many others. In late 2018, band founder Frank Mullen quit the band. Ricky Myers, of Disgorge, is the current live vocalist.

    Manchester has become one of the largest cities in Britain over the past hundred years. Although Manchester is a city with a very rich history, the main focus of its development has always been industry. The center is almost entirely furnished with warehouses and factory buildings, entangled with a network of canals and old railway bridges. It is quite natural that no one gave such kindness to the reduction of production: in the former shops now open fashionable bars, in factory warehouses - designer shops, and under the old bridges "settled" nightclubs. It was for the active nightlife of the city and got its middle name - Madchester.
