There is more than one artist with this name, including: 1) Gordi is Australian indie-pop singer-songwriter Sophie Payten (born 28 December 1992); 2) Gordi (Serbian Cyrillic: Горди; trans. The Proud Ones) is a Serbian and Yugoslav rock band formed in Belgrade in 1977. 2) Gordi (Serbian Cyrillic: Горди; trans. The Proud Ones) is a Serbian and Yugoslav rock band formed in Belgrade in 1977 by guitarist Zlatko Manojlović, a former "Džentlmeni", "Fleš" and "Dah" member. The first line-up of the band also featured Stevan Milutinović (drums), a former "Dogovor iz 1804", "Moira" and "Dah" member, Goran Manojlović (keyboards), a former "Dah" and "Land" member, and Dragan Janković (bass guitar), a former "Buket Mojih Prijatelja" member. On their five studio albums, Manojlović is a complete songwriter. The band developed and changed their musical style over the years, having started as progressive rock band, then turning to rock-hard rock sound and ending up as Heavy Metal band. Although studio albums "Pakleni trio" ("Hell Trio") and "Kraljica smrti" ("Queen of Death") are considered truly Heavy Metal oriented, these are the albums for which Gordi are generally most known. The line-up for these two albums was: Zlatko Manojlović - guitar, vocal Slobodan Svrdlan - bass, backing vocals Čedomir Petrović - drums, backing vocals In 1979 the band won the first place at the international rock festival in Poznań. The band disbanded in 1984, after Manojlović released his first solo album "Zlatko". In 2024, Manojlović reformed Gordi. The new lineup featured, beside Zlatko Manojlović, his son Todor Manojlović (guitar, bass guitar), Marko Terlević (bass guitar), Dalibor "Dado" Marinković (drums), and Berislav "Bero" Blažević (keyboards), the latter two also being full-time members of Parni Valjak. The new lineup recorded and released the group's comeback, mostly hard rock-oriented album Fenix through Croatia Records. All the songs were authored by Manojlović.
