Kelsy Karter biography

Kelsy Karter (born 1 August 1992), now known as Kelsy Karter & The Heroines, is a New Zealand singer-songwriter. She always considered herself to be a little bit of an outsider, following her own rules, living by her own design. A somewhat mischievous teenager, Kelsy would often skip school and end up in the principal’s office, and while her classmates would be afraid of going against authority, Karter was proud of being the one that did. And even enjoyed the rush of trouble. Kelsy refers to her music as “Modern Soul”, a blend of nostalgic vibes and current pop influences. Her unique vision takes her fans on a journey through a time machine through the great musical acts of an earlier generation. Her yet to be titled debut album is inspired by her real life experiences of heartbreak she’s experienced throughout her life… from having her own heart broken to breaking hearts herself.

  • What's interesting in Manchester?

Manchester has become one of the largest cities in Britain over the past hundred years. Although Manchester is a city with a very rich history, the main focus of its development has always been industry. The center is almost entirely furnished with warehouses and factory buildings, entangled with a network of canals and old railway bridges. It is quite natural that no one gave such kindness to the reduction of production: in the former shops now open fashionable bars, in factory warehouses - designer shops, and under the old bridges "settled" nightclubs. It was for the active nightlife of the city and got its middle name - Madchester.
