Ray BLK biography

RAY BLK (BLK stands for Building, Living, Knowing) is Nigerian born Rita Ekwere from south London. Aged 13, she formed 'New Found Content' with her school friend MNEK though their songs never saw the light of day. Her debut EP, 'Havisham' was released in 2015, as she studied for a degree in English Literature. It told the tale of a girl who turns against men after having her heart broken, inspired by Miss Havisham's story in Charles Dickens' Great Expectations. 2016 saw the release of 'Durt' which features SG Lewis, Wretch 32 and Stormzy. Ray came first place on the BBC Sound of 2017 poll.
