Tori Amos biography

Tori Amos (born Myra Ellen Amos; August 22, 1963) is an American singer-songwriter and pianist. She is classically trained and has a mezzo-soprano vocal range. Amos began composing instrumental piano pieces at a young age and won a full scholarship to the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University when she was five, becoming the youngest person admitted. She left the institute at eleven after her scholarship was discontinued.
