Joost biography

Joost Klein (born November 10, 1997, in Leeuwarden, Friesland, Netherlands) did not have an easy start in life. At just twelve years old, he lost his father to cancer. Less than a year later, his mother passed away from cardiac arrest. Orphaned at a young age, Joost turned to the internet and launched a YouTube channel called EenhoornJoost. Following Eurovision, Joost released a string of singles — “Luchtballon,” “The Bird Song,” “TRAFIK!” (ft. Käärijä), “Filthy Dog,” and “Why Not???” Several of these tracks, including “Luchtballon,” “Filthy Dog,” and “Why Not???,” appear on his latest album Unity, released on February 20, 2025. The album features collaborations such as “United By Music” (with Tommy Cash), “1” (with Scooter), and “Gabberland,” as well as his viral 2023 hit “Friesenjung.”
